    Cable Gland

A cable chuck (commonly referred to as cable chuck, cable strain reliver, cable connector, or cable fitting in the United States) is a device used to attach and secure cable ends to equipment. Cable clamps provide strain relief and are connected in a manner appropriate to the type and description of the cable for which they are designed - including provisions for electrical connections to the armor or braid of the cable and lead or aluminum sheathing, if any. Cable joints can also be used to seal cables through bulkheads [2] or joint plates. Cable joints are mostly used for cables with diameters between 1mm and 75mm

Cable joints are usually defined as mechanical cable entry devices. Them with electrical instrumentation and automation system used in the cables and wires used in many industries. Cable connectors are available for all types of power, control, instrumentation, data and telecommunications cables. They are used as sealing and terminating devices to ensure that the characteristics of the enclosure into which the cable enters can be adequately maintained. Cable joints are made of various plastics, steel, brass or aluminum and are used for industrial purposes. Seals designed to resist dripping or water pressure include elastomer seals of synthetic rubber or other types. For electrical equipment in hazardous areas, some types of cable connectors can also be used to prevent flammable gases from entering the equipment housing.

Although cable connectors are often referred to as "connectors," technical distinctions can be made in terminology that distinguish them from rapidly disconnecting conductive electrical connectors.

For pre-ended cables (cables with connectors), split-type cable connectors are available. These cable joints consist of three parts (two half joints and a separate seal ring) and are opened with a hex lock nut (like a normal cable joint). Thus, the pre-assembled cable can be routed without removing the plug. Separate cable connectors for IP66/IP68 and NEMA 4X input protection.

Alternatively, split-type cable access systems (typically consisting of a hard frame and several sealing rings) can be used to run a large number of pre-terminated cables through a wall cut.
